ASURO

ASURO is an acronym for Another Small and Unique Robot from Oberpfaffenhofen. This robot is freely programmable in C.

Developed at the German Aerospace Center’s Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics in Oberpfaffenhofen, it can also be used for educational purposes in schools. The kit includes electronic components with assembly instructions, a circuit diagram and soldering instructions. It’s designed to support students taking their first steps in the field of robotics. Once it’s assembled and programmed, the Asuro is able to follow lines and find its way through a labyrinth.

Quizbot

Imagine a TV quiz show without a human quizmaster. Sound like a futuristic fantasy? Then you haven’t met Leonidas, the talking robo-quizmaster!

Leonidas can not only read the questions; it can also recognize whether an answer is the right one among the four available choices. It was developed by Reinhard Eibensteiner, David Haider and Markus Reinthaler at Leonding Technical School. To do so, they used J2EE, Java 1.5, NetBeans, Subversion and MySql.

Space2Go

"Space2Go" is a classic point-and-click adventure. Its excellent graphics are its most outstanding feature.

Florian Gnadlinger, Niklas Baumgärtler, Benjamin Rott and Gerold Minhöfer created this game as their diploma project in the Media Technology and Media Industry program at Leonding Technical School. Their assignment was to create a fully playable two-dimensional animated point-and-click adventure game featuring a musical sound track. To accomplish this, they used Eclipse, Photoshop, AudaCity, MSPaint, Acrobat Writer and ActionScript/Flash.
